Responsibility......or Respondability?

What's the difference?...Well, that depends upon the version of you. If you are adhering to the norms or expectations of those around you, family, friends, society.....and your being responsible, your probably cutting back on expenses, digging in to weather the storm. Maybe your working hard to avoid a layoff............you know, your being a responsible individual adapting to life's circumstances........which means you are the version of you that life happens to.

Now, I'm not professing that you throw caution to the wind.......I don't know everyone that reads this and unless your spending most, if not all of your time in the version of yourself that directs your life deliberately as opposed to the version of yourself that life happens to you, that would just be downright reckless!!!  You can't hide from from your secret thoughts or from your beliefs (unconscious) held about the way things are, because they keep showing up as your life!!

However, I do want you to ponder this; What if you came from a version of yourself that embraces "respondability"? What the heck does that mean? Well, it means having the ability to respond to the divinity or "I Amness" that is within each of us..........but like I have said before, you have to get out of your head in order to respond.   Respond to the ineffable part of you that has never been born and will never die, the true you that is in this world but not of it, the version of you that is living with the illusion but not in it.

Every single one of us has had a moment of clarity, utter comfort, joy, confidence, creativity and wisdom that was not the result of an external circumstance, action or material thing.  The question is how did you respond?  Did you linger in the moment and enjoy it until "life" brought you back to "reality"?   Probably, but if that's what happened, the next time you find yourself in that state, ask yourself.......How can I leverage this state?, What can I do with it?  Maybe even, How can I grow within this state?  How can I evolve?  What meaning can I take from this?

Better yet, to play with a saying of Meister Ekhart, "How best can I let God be God as Me?"  or if that concept makes you nervous, "How best can I let God be God through Me?"......Go ahead, try it and see what happens.......Your making every moment of every day an opportunity for creating the best version of yourself!!  Enjoy!!
